Our church is committed to spreading the love of Jesus Christ through word and deed in our local community and around the world. We have many opportunities for people to get a helping hand and to be a blessing to others. Check out some of the opportunities that are available:
Local Missions
There are many ways to get involved throughout the year helping people
in our area.
Once a month We host a Mobile Foodbank in cooperation with Feeding America . This is
a great oppertunity to serve our community. Please visit our calender for dates or email

National Missions
Our Church has sponsored several trips over the past few years including Pass Christian, MS to help rebuild homes devastated in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and trips to Atlanta, Ga to minister to the homeless with Pastor Andy and Church on the Street.
First Church of God Has partnered with Appalachian Ministries. to
assist Pastor Garland Lacy and his Daughters Lisa and Michelle as they
minister to the people on and around Shoemaker Ridge
near Zoe, Kentucky. They distribute clothing, gifts and school supplies, host activities and field trips
and stress the importance of education, hard work and a personal relationship
with God.
Our group has returned from our annual trip to Appalachian Ministries where they wrapped christmas gifts for local children that are in the program. They also had a cookout and played games with some of the people that Appalachian Ministries serve. Click here to see photos of the trip.

International Missions
In the past our church has sent groups to Brazil to work with Tom and Jean McCraken on various
projects throughout Brazil
2003 was the first year that we sent a group to Guatemala and have made the trip every year since. With Pastor Isai Calderon planning the work camps, we work side by side with our brothers and sisters in Christ to share Gods love and further his kingdom. We plan to continue trips to Guatemala as God leads us.
February 5th our team returned from Guatemala after spending 2 weeks constructing a Church in Panabaj, Guatemala as well as visiting Churches in Santiago Atitlan, Champerico and surrounding areas. Click here to see photos of this trip.
We have our next trip planned for 2012,we will be partnering with Orchard View Church of God in Grand Rapids and Edgewood Church of God in Ithaca. We will give updates as they become available,
